Photoshoot Recap—2017 NPC Jr. Nationals

Women’s Physique Overall champ Lauren Quinn poses in a new shoot at Jr. Nats!

Each year the Jr. Nationals cast seems to grow by the hundreds. This time, for example, the competitor list was so long that eight height classes were used to divvy up bikini competitors. No question, plenty of winners and trophies to be found and we’ve got some hardware to share among seven new shoots coming soon to the Studio — including a bonus shoot from Lou’s hometown — so let’s get straight to the rundown.

Lauren Quinn – This Chicago showstopper debuted several years ago on the site and this encore is long overdue. Better yet, Lauren joins us as a newly minted IFBB pro after she dominated the physique division, winning class c and taking the overall title on her home stage. Talk about contest shape, the champ was minutes from stepping off the stage before posing for our cameras.

Sarah Bruce – This Columbus, Ohio native started competed about two years ago and has made fantastic gains. The Jr. Nats was her first national level show and the muscled brunette beauty scored an elite fourth place finish in figure class c, making her a definite pro card contender moving ahead. Sarah also runs her own personal training biz called Steadfast Sarah.

Stephanie Mitch – This tall class sensation was a popular draw for photographers and for good reason. On stage, Stephanie was solid as well, placing seventh in the figure f-class. Serious vascularity and baseball-sized biceps on this athletic, long-limbed Indiana native.

Kortne Greene won her physique class and a pro card at Jr. Nats

Mandi Thompson – Mandi muscled her way into the top five in figure class d and brings that chiseled package to her debut shoot with us. This continues a streak of first call out type finishes for the brunette hardbody from Houston, Texas. Great overall development with particular notes on shoulders and huge quads.

Kortne Greene – In addition to her debut shoot with us, Kortne claimed first in her physique class and came away with a pro card over the weekend. This personal trainer and competitor from Sacramento, California traveled a long way to make it to that stage, but she’ll always remember the Jr. Nationals in Chicago as the place where a lot of tears, sweat and hardwork paid off. New IFBB pro!

Sandee Estes – One of our great bikini “finds” of the new year comes to us again in an off season shoot. If you loved the sassy and charming Sandee in her shoot from the Arnold, get ready for another look at those split and peaked bikini biceps along with that killer midsection.

Sonya Istocka – One more shoot, post-Jr.Nats, just completed today gives us the pretty Sonya, a 5-foot-11, 152-pound former volleyball and basketball player now competing in the fitness game. This sweet and strapping 25-year-old just competed at the North Coast Championships in her native Ohio as shows that she has a most impressive future ahead in the sport.
