Always one of the popular destinations on the contest calendar, the NPC Jr. Nationals once again made its way to Chicago and left us plenty to talk about and enjoy as we kick off the summer season.

If there was a theme this year it might be “Next Wave,” as in lots of fresh faces. Out of eight new shoots, seven are brand new models on Krivs Studio, many are relatively new to competing as well! We’ve also got some contest coverage from the show which we’ll get to later, but first let’s take a look at the girls.

Chloe Sannito: Our latest update, Chloe is a former swimmer who turned to weightlifting and figure competitions three years ago and fell in love with the sport. Now, the 20-year-old rising star from Chicago is currently between shows, prepping for the NPC North Americans later this summer. A fun-loving 5-foot-2 beauty (contest weight 110-118) with powerhouse legs and great determination, Chloe made an inspiring transformation after battling overweight issues as a middle schooler.

Cassie Green

Cassie Green

Cassie Green: Cassie made her national-level debut after winning her figure class at last year’s Badger State Championships. The 24-year-old has been working hard to bring up her back development and showed off some super new cuts and definition in this workout footage just before the show for Midwest Muscle Report, where she’s the website manager. Can’t wait to see more of this Northern Illinois stunner.

Morgan Coggins: Morgan is back in action after taking three years off from competing. The massage therapist and Morton, Illinois native won the figure overall title in a Kentucky qualifier before heading to the Windy City. Over the weekend, Morgan showed that she definitely deserves to be considered among the elite on the national figure stage, earning a solid fifth-place trophy in a competitive tall class.

Esther Kelly

Jennifer Keller: Jennifer brought her A-game for this encore shoot and was similarly impressive on stage, where the imposing six-footer finished fifth in the physique tall class. The Sunshine State native has been busy this year—Jr. Nationals was her second national show and third overall—already finishing seventh at the Jr. USAs and taking third in the open class at the Florida Grand Prix.

Esther Kelly: Another Florida native, Esther showed that she is well worth keeping an eye on after a strong fifth-place finish in the figure D class. She was actually one spot better at the recent Jr. USAs, but probably more impressive in this deeper Chicago lineup. Away from the stage, Esther works in the insurance biz and studied at the University of Central Florida. She is also BFFs with Jennifer Keller. Gotta love fitness friends!

Tomorrow we’ll review the remaining three shoots from the busy Jr. Nationals weekend plus have details on contest coverage to come. Stay tuned!
