Being able to bring you live updates from the Jr. Nationals made this year’s show a real treat. If you were following the action, you already have a taste of some wonderful new talent that we’re beginning to unveil along with fresh takes of familiar favorites. That said, with a busy July now underway—Team Universe, Masters Nationals and USAs take place this month—let’s look back at a few more photo gems in a quick recap of the Jr. Nationals 2013 KrivsStudio photoshoot edition.

Jamie Byron

Jamie Byron

Many would agree Jamie should have placed higher than 14th in her class. However, it’s worth noting that Jr. Nationals is always a competitive line-up and this was her national level debut. Jamie has made amazing progress since she started training to compete less than two years ago, adding an impressive amount of muscle and jumping from bikini to the figure division. We’ve not seen the last of this Colorado beauty.

Carly Lobato

Another Colorado girl, Carly is the reigning Jr. Nationals overall fitness champ. Back in ’02, IFBB pro Liane Seiwald competed at Nationals and also won a pro card on the first try. Liane is now Carly’s coach.

Kay Jordt

One week after Jr. Nats, Kay was back on personal training duty showing support and cheering on two of her clients at the Minnesota State show. Thanks in part to Kay’s guidance, one girl won her class!

Angelina Masino

After finishing sixth in class E, this Washington State native is ready to take on the NPC USAs later this month in Las Vegas. Mighty Angelina keeps improving and is a definite contender for a pro card.

Melissa Shuster

Former figure competitor Melissa switched to physique and placed fourth in her class. She has certainly found her comfort zone on stage and is possibly headed to USAs next.

Erica Blockman

The newly minted women’s physique pro was equally dazzling in her latest photoshoot, Erica’s third on the studio, as she was on stage.

Tracy Weller

Tracy Weller

Tracy was third at Nationals last year but slipped to seventh at this show. Looking at her pics, it’s hard to explain the drop. But she’s a consistent competitor and always in the mix whenever she takes the stage.

Jessica Bowman

Jessica finished fourth in her physique class for her best national level placing ever.
